This is an old release, the new release is located here. thingiverse.com/thing:10261 Aluminum T-slot extrusion is great, it is also expensive and your required project does not always call for the strength or weight of aluminum. This is a prerelease of a 20mm plastic T-slot profile we are in the process of having manufactured. It is designed for use with M3 nuts and bolts and the dimensions have been modified for printing. The small insert holds two captive nuts to aid in bolting down faceplates and accessories. Expect faceplates, brackets, hinges, handles and many other accessories to be uploaded in the coming days. Instructions Printing with zero infill and 2 extra shells is strong enough for light loads. For higher strength applications use up to 100% infill, at full infill they are quite strong. For longer extrusions, you can create a very strong joint by putting a little pool of acetone on foil, dipping the ends of two bars and pressing them together. The faceplates and brackets were designed with 8mm long bolts in mind. The profile can accept your leftover M3 makerbot bolts head first without an insert, use any length 8mm or longer and tighten a nut down using two pliers.
