It is a simple wind direction indicator. Look at it and see which way the wind is blowing. It gives an indication of the wind speed, see how fast it is spinning. And the 24/7 bit?? No problem seeing it at night, I printed it in 'glow-in-the-dark' filament!! EDIT..!! After a couple of months it seemed like this would last forever but... We had some extreme winds last night and the tail snapped off. So I have made a thicker one that is a lot stronger. Try the 'tail44' file if you are in a very turbulent location
