24mm to 29mm Model Rocket Motor Adapter

Adapter to use 24mm model rocket motors in a 29mm motor mount. Designed for use with reloadable casings, or single use motors, that have a thrust ring. Easy print, nothing fancy, the internal step in the main casing body is chamfered to help with overhang print quality. Does NOT work with Estes black powder 29mm motors with the cardboard cases. Tested to fit with Aerotech or CTI 24mm cases, using an Estes threaded motor retainer. Other brands may not have enough thread depth. Printed on my Rostock Max V.2 Insert the main adapter body into the 29mm motor tube, insert 24mm motor into the adapter, and put the aft ring in place. Ridge toward the motor for Aerotech cases, and away from the motor for CTI cases. Then hold it all in with that Estes 29mm retainer. All my prints have been with ABS, and the size was tweaked a bit after printing to make sure it fit. You may need to scale up a few percent if using PLA or if it comes out too small on the first try.
