Quick maiden flight is here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yuDQChn11ME This is a complete design (shown here, if you print these parts and get everything on the shopping list you will have a ready-to-fly quadcopter. Feel free to contact me if you need any help should you decide to make this. Just make sure your transmitter is compatible with the receiver. The design is meant to run 6 inch propellers. I used 6 x 3 & and got an 11.5 minute flight time (just hovering in place). I've flown this quad several times now and it's a great park flier, I'm not much of a pilot so I hope someone else can do some acrobatics with it! Design is meant to be printed in PET-G. I did this for a bit of fun so please forgive any mistakes. This was an experiment with new filament, PET-G prints really easily and seems be quite tough so should survive most crashes. Basic FEM has been done on the components and it should be quite a tough little bird. The holes are piloted in the printed parts at 2 mm diameter as I find my printer always makes small holes undersized, so the screw should go in without a fight but still bite ok. The cables should be quite tidy, I'm not happy with the battery cable, make sure to strap the power cable down to avoid it getting chewed up by the props. The flight controller doesn't need to be soft mounted and bolts directly to the frame. The same applies for the camera.
