Long ago, xeno-archeologists discovered a data core on a nameless, nuked out world. The data gleaned from this repository of knowledge resulted in the Raptors, armored mechanized walkers of various sizes and shapes, but with similar capabilities. Model Ks also are popular amongst non-humanoid species, since their six legs are more appealing to similar-shaped sentients. Most Project Raptor hull components are capable of interchanging (modularity was a keyword of the original, extinct designers), and the K model combo is no exception. The hex-pattern legs lend themselves to Raptor mechs dedicated to fire support missions, or tasked to difficult, rugged terrains. Encountered in the darker, more obscure corners of the original data cores, the "K" model mech designs were quarantined for years because of the eerie phenomenon encountered during their restoral. Only recently have they been filtered and cleared for general sales and manufacturing distribution, though they tend to appeal to clients with a more, shall we say, chaotic nature. Among the most unusual occurrences during file resurrection process was in Prototyping Cell 8-7. Without authorization or warning, the advanced manufacturing cell produced a twisted, horn-adorned Model K Raptor Walker overnight. The stunned crew arrived the next morning greeted by the red optics mounted in the skull-like sensor turret. The research team were only able to gain access to the silent mech's cockpit when one technician cut their hand on an armored spike jutting from the hull, causing a small blob of blood to fall on the access datapad. The carapace slid back, enabling the scientists to access the rune-covered interior. Persistent rumors that the mech's cockpit then devoured and integrated the researcher into its hull interior have been categorically denied, but Prototyping Cell 8-7 has been decommissioned, implosion-nuked, and the compound's cratered remains capped and sealed to this day. Project Raptor is my attempt to make a small, fast mech that can be used in multiple genres, from grimdark to far-flung-future tabletop games. It is optimized for magnetization with 8mm x 2 or 3mm Neodyminium Magnets. I usually source mine in bulk from Amazon, but I have also found them at my local hardware store. https://www.amazon.com/8mm-neodymium-magnets/s?k=8mm+neodymium+magnets IF you're still wanting to magnetize, I recommend you pick up some #6 steel washers (no brass, no stainless steel). For metric countries, I have found M4 or M3.5 steel washers with an outer diameter of 8 or 9mm work, as well. If you don't want to magnetize, cool. I have sculpted an 8mm plug that has a different texture on each side. Just print and glue these small pucks into the cavities that would normally host a magnet. Advice and instructions for 3D printing, post-processing, and glues are included in the PDF instructions. -Hull and Legs for Raptor K Variant are included. -Sensor heads, lights, and optics -Several different carapace toppers for the main hull, including standard, reinforced, and spiked. -All available weapons for distance and close combat weapons I offer, as well. -100mm Base -Standing and Based Waldo reference figure -Seated Waldo in Cockpit Waldo sculpted by Patrick Keith of Bombshell Minis. With your purchase, you are licensed to print unlimited copies of these files for personal use. I'm a solo artist with a nasty caffeine habit, though, so please don't share, trade, or give them away. Commercial printing is done under separate licenses, so please respect my partners, too. Thanks! Best, JBR
