28mm Small Peninsular House

28mm Small Peninsular House

thingiverse

I needed some small Mediterranean / Caribbean houses for historical games set in the Peninsular War (1808-14) and to go with some pirates I'm getting, and decided to try making my own, using the pantile roofs I designed a while back. That said, they could work for Italy in similar periods or for WW2. I mostly use Warlord Games and Perry Miniatures for my Napoleonics, so they should scale well for Bolt Action. I made the walls reasonably thick so you could probably scale the parts down to about 55% for Flames of War or other 15mm (1/100) scale games as well. The roof piece and the shuttered window are available separately on my "Designs" page. You'll have to print one of the main house and two of the roof. I don't think it will need supports, perhaps a bit under the door lintel and windowsill. You might also want to cap the ridge with half a straw, a bit of scrap filament, some thin dowel or bamboo skewer, etc but I test-fit the parts in software and there didn't seem to be a gap so this is probably optional. My printer is currently running but I'll do a test print soon and add pictures and settings at that time. UPDATE 2/3/22: Test printing revealed some design flaws which I will correct in a “v2” file in the next few days. Please bear with me.
