<p>A battery box for 2 AA batteries fitted with a slide switch and using common battery contact plates 25 x 12.7 mm and ~15 mm terminal spacing</p> <p>The photographs show my 1.0 version, which used coutnsunk screws to hold the switch in from above; this required modification of the switch to remove the threads and then countersinking of the holes</p> <p>Required for assembly</p> <ul> <li><p>Base & Lid</li></p> <li><p>2 battery contact plates, 25 x 12.5 mm, eg <a href="https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/351641828842?">Keystone 5212</a> One fo the plates should cut in 2 for use at the switch end; alternatively 2 separate plates can be used. I just used some salvaged plates that were in my spares box.</p></li> <li><p>Miniature Slide switch, 19 mm hole spacing with M2 threads, eg <a href="http://uk.farnell.com/knitter-switch/mfs131d/switch-spdt-0-35a-30vdc-solder/dp/219459">Knitter-Switch MFS131D</a></p></li> <li><p>4 M2 x 6* countersunk screws to secure the lid (*6 mm min, can be 10 mm long), eg , eg <a href=https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/263438570241?"> M2 CSK Pozi Stainless Steel</a></p></li> <li><p>2 M6 x 10 countersunk screws for the slide switch (length important), eg <a href=https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/263438570241?"> M2 CSK Pozi Stainless Steel</a></p></li> <li><p>Cable to suit intended use (I use a piece of <a href=https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/262349668612?">5m Servo Wire 26awg Futaba JR 3-Pin</a> (with the white cable stripped off)</p></li> </ul>
