This jig is used for a quick method of marking the mounting holes for drilling. For the purpose of quickly marking a center point for each of the four holes to be drilled, the jig's holes are smaller than the mounting holes of the flange for more accurate marking. The pipe flange intended for use is for 3/4 non-threaded pipe which is not for plumbing purposes, but for "industrial" style decor and furniture projects. The pipe flange will be used as leg supports. The pipe flange used to make this jig was sourced from Lowes and spec sheets can be found on the manufacturer site www.steel-tek.com
