The Acorn RISC PC has a 3.5in hard drive bay in the base, with an unusual mounting arrangement. Four screw holes on the base of the drive locate the drive, while a metal spring bracket holds it in place. This 3D-printable adapter holds a Startech "IDE2CF" adapter and adapts it to fit the RISC PC's unique drive bay. Fit two 5mm M3 standoffs (PC motherboard standoffs work well) to the holes on the top face, then screw the CFIDE to the bracket with M3 screws (e.g. PC motherboard or floppy drive screws). Insert a CF card, install in a drive bay, and connect the cables. If you wish to use the side or base screw holes to hold the adapter in place, install threaded inserts. This will make the holder easier to insert and remove.
