The body of the knife sharpening tool v2.1 uses a 10mm tube. Since it's very hard to find metric tubing in the states, I ended up buying a 3/8 inch tube. The original plan says you should be able to get away with a 3/8 inch tube instead of a 10mm, but since 3/8 inches is 9.525mm, the feet slide from side to side and are free to rotate. Using 1 or 2 of these collars with an M3 captive nut and 6mm M3 bolt, the 3/8 inch tube can no longer rotate or slide. This makes the knife sharpener much more stable.
