I remade because I loved nervoussystem's design but wanted to utilize my 3 extruder printer. I utilized TinkerCad to add the eye. Files: There are 4 files for the model with the eyes having their own color. One for the eyes, hollow, and solid portions of the frog. The last file is a workaround for using Prusaslicer. I had problems with Prusaslicer not allowing me to print the eyes because there were gaps in the layers, so I ended up adding a sacrificial block to trick Prusaslicer into slicing it. (Probably just some setting, but I couldn't figure it out. Please let me know if you know how to make that work.) Then there are 3 additional files for making the split striping. One for the top and one for the bottom w eye combo. And another model with the workaround for Prusaslicer. See Nervoussystem's original description below. This treefrog is based on a recently discovered species called the Tiger's Treefrog (Hyloscirtus tigrinus) which has an incredible maze-like pattern on its skin. Hyloscirtus tigrinus lives in the rainforests of Ecuador and Colombia and is exceedingly rare. Scientists estimate there are only 250 adult tiger's treefrogs alive today. You can see some pictures of them here http://www.arkive.org/tigers-treefrog/hyloscirtus-tigrinus/ print settings This is designed to be printed with no supports. We used Makerware's medium settings to print the frog in ABS on our Makerbot Replicator 1 (2 shells, .2mm layer height and 10% infill). Slicing warning: this takes a while to slice! The frogs took us 13 minutes to slice with .2mm layers in Makerware. design I modeled the body in Blender from photographs of Hyloscirtus tigrinus and the pattern was generated using a simulation of reaction-diffusion.
