This is a pet door for use inside the house for cats, small dogs, etc. It's great for allowing a small pet to escape a larger one or to keep larger pets from eating their food. The opening size is 7.75" high by 6.5" wide (196mm x 165mm). All parts can be printed except for a short length of coat hanger wire to act as part of the hinge. The door swings freely in both directions but you can install magnets at the bottom to limit its swinging. Recommend mounting the door 3 to 4 inches above the floor for all but the shortest of pets (e.g. kittens). The front door frame slides into the telescoping rear door frame for a snug fit on doors of a variety of widths without glue, nails or screws; but there are 4 places for self-tapping screws to prevent the frames from falling out. For a version that is suitable for passing through walls, check out Pitcherj's remix at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:805527 Instructions The door and frame were printed in Natural-tone ABS at 0.3 mm resolution (Low) on my Makerbot Replicator 2X. I had rafting disabled but supports enabled to support the hinges. I used 4 shells to guarantee a fairly solid tube for the hinge. Frame pieces were printed frame face down. The frames were split in two halves to accommodate the size. You'll need to print two halves of the rear frame though only one .stl file is provided. Recommend just installing the frame for a couple of days to get your pet used to the idea of a portal in the door. Then, install the door and coax your pet through it a few times; they'll get the idea!
