***UPDATE 5/21/2020*** so I've gone through several variations of this bumper using different materials at different infills and layers and have found that they all suck hard. My best print, the one I thought would be the winner broke immediately after hitting my couch in the living room. Went back to the drawing board, aka Tinkercad, and I think I have a much better solution now. TPU and beefing up the front bumper. Now you can print the top bumper in TPU the center section in PLA or PETG and the base and bumper spring in TPU.So far so good. I printed the TPU parts at 50% infill with at least 3 walls and the center section at 40 in PLA. Use 2 M2x12 screws to bolt the top bumper down. BTW, I know the files say blackcat but it keeps autocorrecting from blackout so mew... I've probably gone through about 3 front bumpers between 3 Redcat Racing Blackout XTE. I decided to give it a shot. I first created a 2 piece setup but just testing it in my living room broke one of the bumper arms so I designed a 3 piece setup. I used the original 3 body screws to mount the base to the chassis and the original front 2 screws to attach the bumper spring to the bumper. I used: - 2 M4*14 to attach the middle section to the bumper base. - 2 M3*12 to attach the top bumper to the middle section. The 2 holes in the top of the bumper will fit standard led bracket fittings I found on amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Kalevel-Trucks-Headlights-Taillight-Accessories/dp/B013SSO70Y/ref=sr_1_3?crid=N9QEICLG1O8E&keywords=rc+led+lights&qid=1581380004&sprefix=rc+led%2Caps%2C238&sr=8-3 I also designed a bumper spring. It will fit on the original Blackout XTE bumper and my design. I have not tested this outside yet because of several days of bad weather. If you decide to print this to bash around, and it happens to break, please shoot me a pic so that I can make it better. Update 1: After a long weekend of bashing the bumper held up better than expected. the stock body screws did wiggle there selfs free. You may want to consider M3x10 or 14 screws with a self-locking nut. I am also considering beefing up the bottom middle section.
