A three sided die for whatever reason you might need a random number between one and three. Who has time to fiddle with figuring out what to do with 4, 5, or 6 when all you need are 1, 2, or 3? My dice bag is more complete than those who do not have a d3 in theirs. Roll it just like any other die. It will land on one of the large rounded surfaces with one edge facing up. Each edge has 1, 2, or 3 pips.
