3-way joint for rods or pipe

I have a laundry basket with an interior skeleton made from welded rod, 0.165" diameter (4.2mm). One of the rods broke off, failing at both the top and bottom weld. Luckily, a 3D printer can fix that! I started with a simple 3-way pipe connector, then modified it to have the elbow portion exposed (cut in half). This can be scaled for any similar need. I will say that while this is a simple, quick-fix item, it can go a long way to showing your spouse that a 3D printer is a pretty handy thing to have around the home! Who doesn't need a little more spouse buy-in? If desired, you may want to round out the inside elbow a little more, depending on your need. A few quick touch-ups with my dremel-tool made the fit perfect!
