Two protective lens cap for a Aimpoint 5000 reddot sight. Caps will work for other sights with the same outer diamters. SmallCap = for 30mm outer diameter opening. BigCap = for 37mm outer diamter opening. <strong>Tips and tricks.</strong> If you are going to make your own, a few points I would concider is the fit, the hinge direction and thickness, and a possible lock. 1. I made the cap diamter 0,4mm larger than needed, this made for a good fit. 2. If the hinge is too thin the layers will break since they are all in the same direction. Make sure it's extra <strong>THICC</strong>. 3. I used a "snap lock" at first, this relied on the plastic bending in order to operate. If you are to use this, keep in mind that the layer direction is important. Mine simply snapped off. I would recommend magnets instead.
