.338 Lapua Magnum

.338 Lapua Magnum

thingiverse

I searched Thingiverse for a .338 and couldn't, so I decided to model one myself! I modelled a .338 Lapua round in Onshape. All dimensions should be accurate (apart from the bullet itself, as it varies). If it does not print well, I suggest splitting the model in a program like NetFabb and then gluing the pieces together. The .338 Lapua is an interesting cartridge, as it offers the anti-personnel capabilites of a larger round such as a .50 BMG, but is lighter, thus a sniper can carry more. Probably most notably used in the L115 (Accuracy International AWM) and by the British Armed Forces. It has seen use and is combat proven in many conflicts. The longest ever confirmed sniper kill was with this round, at 2,475m! Have fun!
