Secondary mirror holder for DIY telescope. Editable FreeCad model included. For my telescope control software visit https://github.com/ZliRobot/RedShift Additionally required: 6 M3 screws 6 M3 nuts 1 M5 screw 1 M5 washer 3 M5 nuts Assembly process: - put M5 screw trough mirror attachment (screw head should go towards oval side) - put M5 washer on the flat (non-oval) side of mirror attachment (there is a notch on that side that nicely fits washer. If it doesn't fit, try bigger washer) - put an M5 nut on the screw and tighten it. Consider using thread lock here, since screw head will not be available for adjustment once mirror is glued. - Use PVC glue to attach secondary mirror on oval side of mirror attachment. - Put M3 nuts in hexagonal holes on spider. - Put M3 screws through the holes on the opposite side of the corresponding nuts. - M3 screws should be screwed until ~10mm is at the opposite side (~5mm should be left on the head side). - Put M5 screw standing out from mirror attachment trough the central hole on spider (spider should be oriented with a M3 nuts towards a mirror attachment). - Put M5 nut with some thread lock on M5 screw, tighten it until M3 screws are holding against M5 washer. - Put another M5 nut with some thread lock after the first one, tighten them against each other. They are not to be moved anymore. - Use M3 screws to adjust mirror angle. - Use M3 screws and nuts to attach spider to the telescope tube (in this case 160mm sewage pipe). TLDR: M5 screw loosely holds parts together, M3 screw are used for adjustment, mirror is glued. Mirrors used in the project: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000912932565.html
