UPDATE: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:827134 An easy-ish conversion for the manfrotto 3 way head to streamline taking of spherical panoramas. Made 2 so far but still work in progress. About 170 degrees vertical fov with samyang 8mm (corner to corner) Update: page about the project http://dslr360.ilyatitov.com/ Example panoramas: http://ilyatitov.com/360/ See it in action: http://youtu.be/m-kqBCw5f4whttp://youtu.be/QM9lXYVwHF0http://youtu.be/dYxgKii06uE Key Parts: Nema 17 motor Arduino nano H bridge Connectors 2 printed gears 1 printed quick release lens clamp 1 printed motor support cable ties :D This hack is completely reversible, ie you can take everything off and have your panoramic head in its original condition again. The parts are attached with cable ties and hot glue which comes off with a bit of force. More info to follow if anyone is interested This project is a continuation of my iphone panoramic head project (I didn't have a 3d printer then) http://iphone360.ilyatitov.com/ Instructions Print as you like, the layer height is not crucial. Gears are a tight fit, might need a bit of filing to get them on. The lens holder is rotated to minimise wasted plastic on support material, don't forget to enable it!
