38.2mm Road Bike Stem GoPro mount

Customized version of http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:62800 This will allow you to attach a GoPro (or similar mounted) camera to the Stem of your road bike. Fits 38.2mm diameter stems (12cm circumference). It is deliberately a little wider than is needed so that a cushioning material can be placed between the printed object and the stem of the bike, to prevent damage and increase grip. (See photo) Instructions Needed Objects: Sewing measuring tape 2 x M3 screws (30mm or longer, I use 40mm) 2 x M3 Nut Cushioning Material (I used a rubber draught excluder) A Road or Cyclocross bike. Steps Use a sewing measuring tape to get the Circumference of your Bike Stem. Provided it is 12cm, continue. Print the object. Thread the M3 screws through the holes in the print, attaching both parts together before unscrewing again (This widens the hole making the next steps easier). Carefully wrap the cushioning material around the part of the bike stem you would like to attach the mount to. Whilst holding the cushioning material in place, Line up the top half of the mount onto the material, pressing down gently, start threading the M3 screws through again (but stop when 1/3rd or so is through) Stilling holding the top half, Line up the bottom half of the mount so that it is line with the top half. Continue to screw the M3 screws till they come out the other side of the bottom half. Attach a M3 Nut to one side and screw till it has a loose fit, Do the same to the other side. Continue to tighten screws to a desired level
