3D 2" squares Split Chessboard

This thing is another version of my reconfigurable chessboard in 3D for those chess players looking for a little more challenge with the game. Try the Gauntlet, the King of the Hill, or the Gladiator configurations. Each gives a different perspective on the game. The board is split into 4 corners that can be rearranged for different patterns. This board is designed with 2" squares which is almost regulation size. Standard pieces will work fine. Try printing a single layer 1 part to see how your chess pieces will fit before you print the whole thing. There are 7 layers in each corner and you will need four corners. IMPORTANT: not all corners are the same! There are two types of corners, as shown in color 1 and color 2. See the PDF file for how I made one with wood and how many to print of each piece. The setup is the same. In the pictures above, the light and dark of the same color are just to show direction, they are really the same color. Alternate the colors when stacking, gluing from the bottom up. Put the glue on the bottom of the smaller piece. Since the pieces are symmetrical, they are stackable for storage. I added chamfers because my printer puts a little extra on the bottom layer which I did not want interfering with adjoining squares. Enjoy!
