3D Cosine Wave With Nifty Colors

3D Cosine Wave With Nifty Colors

thingiverse

This is pretty nifty three dimensional cosine/sine wave made with OpenSCAD! Each individual unit is a cylinder, with height depending on a trig function and coordinates. The color of each cylinder is also generated with trig functions depending on their coordinates on the plane. I used cos for their red values, sin for green, and cos, sin and tan all for the blue (though that was probably overkill.) Sorry there's so many pictures! There's just a bunch of neat things you can do with the function for the colors, and I didn't want to upload code for each one, so I took a lot of screenshots.
