3D Fractal Vise Vice

3D Fractal Vise Vice

Remix with a few small improvements that satisfy my anal retentiveness slightly. Including a different handle that uses the same peg, don't need the pin but it's there if you want it to be able to switch handles. The handle seemed flimsy compared to the rest of the thing. I took this one from the other machinist vice on thingiverse. The main screws are longer and fill the channel so they can't pull themselves out of the gears and have pitch all the way to the end for easier starting into the jaws. I still used a tap to smooth it up a bit and with grease it runs very smoothly. The gears are ~1mm thicker so there's less play and opportunity to slip. Now the long version works end to end travel without trying to take itself apart. The jaw not riding the screws is now hex shaped to fit the channel in the base with some clearance for generous (lazy in my case) gluing. this vice can break itself if tightened too hard. Note the pin hole is gone, use the original jaw if you prefer the pin to glue. The gear cover now has a bottom to it to contain grease if you get a little sloppy or want to use lubricant. Not really necessary to lube but as long as I was making another one it felt more finished and it's super smooth with a little white lithium grease. I may make one for the top some day. Have made 2 of these, they print great and are very forgiving. Kudos to Tomato18 for doing the hard part, I now have a fractal vise and it costs me 5 bucks! Thingiverse rocks!
