I was on a workshop about 3D printing, modelling and scanning. That was a good inspiration to create my first thing. I used Rhinoceros 5, you can find the customizable model (.3dm) in the downloads folder. Feel free to download and use it. :-) How I Designed This How I Designed This? I searched a simple heart image and used as a wallpaper on top view. I was carefully redrawing the right side of the heart with a curve (interpolate points). I mirrored the curve to get the left side of the heart. Than I joined the two curves to one heart. At this point I corrected the heart two crossing points. (the end snap is very useful ;-) ) The shape was ready. The next step was the extrudation (straight) to go into the third dimension. Than I used the solid command "cap planar holes" to build the 3D object. Than the for 3D text I used the text command where it was very important to use the craete "solids" and "group objects" options. So, that was an easy work! :-)
