3D Hilbert Curve

3D Hilbert Curve

I am a theoretical maths student at the University of Maine. These cubes that I made in Rhino are representations of the 3D Hilbert Curve concept. There are printable files of the first, second, and third iterations of the curve. As It is an infinite family of curves, I have a program that I wrote to draw the initial curves, and instructions on how to pipe them. By fiddling with the code, you can either make the initial curve out of a polyline, or 7 single lines and then joining them. The last part that is supposed to pipe and mesh the curve when you are done is on the fritz and is still a work in progress. I recommend cutting it out and doing the piping and meshing yourself. You want the pipe diameter to be set so it is just barely touching itself. The Python/Rhino code is available for download as txt file.
