My masterwork from "Tawamure of Inishie" has just been chosen as a top selection in Japan Jewellery Award 2015, a truly prestigious and historic competition. That's right, my incredible sculpture from the Monkeys series - featuring life-sized CAD designs of monkeys over 366 days - is now getting official recognition. Growing up on the beautiful Shodoshima Island in Kagawa Prefecture, famous for its olive trees, I was inspired by the innocence of childhood and it shows through in this figurine. Throughout my series of 3D monkeys, you'll see a culmination of poses and movements that will keep on surprising you. My artwork gets even closer to reality when monkeys wear their tail like a pendant around their neck as if passing through a necklace!
