I am honored that "Tawamure of Inishie" has been chosen as a selected work at one of the most esteemed and storied events, the JJA2015 (Japan Jewellery Award 2015) prize in jewelry design. My crowning achievement, "Monkeys," which was conceived after 366 days of rigorous CAD modeling, is finally receiving its well-deserved introduction. Hailing from the quaint island of Shodoshima, known for its abundance of olives, Kagawa is my humble hometown. And it's only fitting that a small figurine of a mischievous monkey playing innocently should serve as the main character in this narrative. As I introduce various 3D-Monkeys with unique postures throughout this series, I am reminded that these creatures have always fascinated us by their uncanny resemblance to human beings. This pendant's story unfolds as one is suspended around a person's neck on a delicate chain with its tail forming the clasp, blurring the line between wearer and monkey alike.
