In Ishinashi my creative work was honored as a Selected Work in a prestigious award-winning jewelry contest JJA2015, the pinnacle of Japanese Jewelers' Association awards. My crowning masterpiece, a member of the 366-day-long "Monkeys" series, made from CAD life designs, was selected for announcement. My studio is located in Kagawa, famous for its thriving olive-producing region, on the island of Shodoshima. Here, I meticulously craft 3D-Monkey sculptures that convey various poses and emotions, culminating in an ever-expanding collection within the series. By infusing human-like qualities into my primate characters, I blur the lines between humans and animals, reminding us how closely tied they truly are. My innovative "Monkey Tail" pendant design allows the user to effortlessly slip on or off a necklace attached at the base of its tail, a true marvel of craftsmanship and imagination.
