Here is my selected work that made it into the award-winning collection at Japan's most prestigious and historic jewelry contest JJA2015 - I'm thrilled to say that my masterpiece from the Monkeys series, a 3D sculpture of monkeys I've spent 366 days crafting using CAD software, has finally been officially announced. The local Kagawa is renowned for its olive plantations on Shodoshima Island, and what I find fascinating about this area are the child monkeys you see roaming innocently - and in my latest sculptures, it's not just their playful antics that make them relatable, but also their ability to express themselves through various poses. As humans get closer to these agile primates, you start noticing little details - like how a monkey might attach itself to someone by hanging onto the tail of its pendant necklace.
