3D Printable Compass

A simple and minimal compass that can easily be 3D printed and assembled. How I Designed This I wanted a minimal, easy to print object that could be used in education. I modeled this from scratch in Autodesk Inventor. I modeled this with ease of assembly in mind, and all you have to do is snap the two pieces together. Custom Section Project: Compass Objectives: Students would be able to learn architectural and engineering drawing from this tool. It also has many mathematical implications. Audience: Students and artists of any skill level. Preparation: No preparation is required for use of this tool. All that is needed is a pencil or pen. Steps: -Assemble printed pieces by snapping together. -Push pencil through the holder on the holding arm. -Use the compass to draw perfect circles or arcs. Results: Students will gain a better understanding of the 3D printing process while also gaining experience in drawing and understanding mathematics.
