A common misconception about 3D printing is that it is limited by size, which in some respects I understand. Most printers are under a foot cubed, however many parts can be put together to make much bigger product. Software- For all of my projects, I use Autodesk Fusion 360. It is a free design software tool that allows user to store files on the cloud. This allows you to access files from any computer with a wifi connection.
