At the World Maker Faire at New York on Oct 1-2, 2016, we were giving out these ghost necklace pendants with LED eyes. It became quite popular among the kids at the Faire. We had multiple colors for them to choose from for both the printed ghosts and the LEDs. Even the adults wanted to make one for themselves. Indeed, we unfortunately ran out of ghosts before everyone had a chance to get one. Therefore, we decided to make the files for this item open-source so that everyone could have a chance to make one at home. Here I have provided both the STLs and print profiles I used to make the ghost. The ghost part can be printed with either the glow-in-dark or translucent PLA. The electrical circuit is printed with Electrifi Conductive Filament that we developed at Multi3D (https://www.multi3dllc.com/product/electrifi-filament-sample/). The Electrifi can be attached to the back of the ghost using double-sided tape. After assembling the circuit, battery holder, and LEDs, you can simply smush the Electrifi into the LED contacts using a soldering iron to complete the circuit. Now just let it cool, and then insert the coin cell battery. This is a 20-min project. Have fun! Print Settings Printer: Prusa i3 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.4 mm nozzle, 0.2 mm layer thickness Infill: Ghost: 20%; Circuit: 100% Notes: The circuit is printed on a sheet of polypropylene. Polypropylene is used because the Electrifi can be easily detached from the polypropylene sheet afterwards.
