3D Printed Gumball Machine Repaired Using Wood Filler

I printed a copy of this gumball machine from thingiverse. The print took a total of 24hrs. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:45347 Here is a link to some videos and more pictures on the build.http://helpme3dprint.com/blogs/news/19779651-3d-printed-gumball-machine-repaired-using-wood-filler Everything printed correctly until the final minutes. The top layer was not thick enough and holes materialized. For months the printed model sat idle. Then a few days ago I realized that wood filler might be the key to salvaging this print. After a few coats of wood filler and some paint the final result is smooth and looks great. After assembly I realized that the machines hopper was too large. I modeled an insert which is in two pieces. You will need to crazy glue them together after they are printed. Hold them in the position that you would like and run crazy glue along the seams. Wipe any access off and hold it together while it drys.
