3d printed rc car chassis 1.6

model of a 3d printed rc car chassis designed in creo elements express v4. the chassis will be used for a volvo c30 rc car model. the latest version has excellent directional stability thanks to a caster angle of 12°. the gears have to be printed in nylon to improve their durability. the gears made of abs never lasted for more than a few runs. more information can be found here: http://www.muellerr.ch/rc-car-chassis-16/ a few comments regarding the model: - the model does not contain reflection symmetric parts since creo elements express limits the number of parts that can be saved to 60. - according to ptc the file cannot be loaded into the full version of creo elements, unfortunately. - i'm still changing the model frequently since i try to make it more robust whenever a part fails. - camber is fixed at around 3°. - the wheel alignment cannot be changed on the rear axle. so far i did not find this to be a problem. currently it is set to 3° (toe in). another video can be found here: http://youtu.be/v0asU2l1kwU
