3D printed Stain Glass Dragon

The model is based on an experiment I did to see if I could do the impossible and it worked: Making transparent PLA filament completely see-through without the use of chemicals. (I did a search on the web and I can't and one who had done this before but I may be wrong) Normally when printing with Transparent PLA you have left with a cloudy colour model but the post-printing technique I have developed works amazingly to allow you to see through the model I will be posting a video very soon How to print the model Start with clear PLA filament then at about layer 3 (i.e. as soon as the dragon pattern appears) pause the print change another colour filament (You don't have to do this but it makes the effect of stain glass even better) I used black PLA to make it look like lead Post-Printing How to make the transparent filament crystal clear This is where the magic happens. After printing the model preheat an oven to 200 degrees C then place the models in the oven for roughly 5minutes until the layer lines disappear completely. The print should look crystal clear Remove the print from the oven and leave it to cool To colour the pains I use coloured sharpies. Have fun
