3D Printed Tensile Test Results and Data

thingiverse

This is a summary of a comprehensive series of tensile testing I performed with PLA and a tensile specimen of my own design. The variables I tested were: 1. Infill Percentage 2. Layer Thickness 3. Part Orientation For infill percentage, I used values of 10%, 40%, 70%, and 100%. As far as layer thickness, I used 100 micron, 200 micron, and 300 micron. (0.1, 0.2, and 0.3 mm, respectively). The orientations I used were vertical and horizontal. I printed 3 of each configuration, and average those results to achieve more consistency. I have included in this Thing the spreadsheets and charts of my results. I hope these data are useful! If anyone has questions about this project, don't hesitate to contact me through Thingiverse, although I might be slow in answering you due to personal obligations. Update A: Fixed some of the graphs which were not labeled and had the wrong units.
