By using this 3D printed Ukiyo-e technique, you can print this classic British repeating wallpaper design. The result is a beautiful picture of birds stealing strawberries! Try a this thoroughly modern version of the ancient art of Ukiyo-e for yourself. More designs to come. Watch my video below to see how to do the actual printing with acrylic paint. https://youtu.be/C7u6LmDyUGQ There are 8 plates in total to print I have named each print to suggest what colour to use and which order they should be printed in for best results, but feel free to experiment, the plates will almost last forever but wash them with cold water and soap to avoid paint buildup. After 3D printing each plate, use a sanding block and 120 grit sandpaper to make the top surface flat and smooth so it holds paint evenly. This does not take long if you have used PLA plastic. The solid strip of plastic at the right hand side does not need sanding, it is where you should attach your paper with masking tape. Enjoy!
