This is third step of my fan-upgrade project. 3D printed upgrade for an old 80*25 fan v1.13D printed upgrade for an old 80*25 fan v0.1If you'll try to print this case please contact me or share your experience. :)The purpose of this project is to give a second life to an old noisy 80*25mm fan often used in computers etc.The idea is to cut central holding plate (motor legs) of your noizy 80mm fan and attach it to central pad of 3D printed body with double-sided adhesive foam (tape) or flexible glue.Foam/glue will catch fan's vibrations and you'll get new silent turbine-blower for your projects. * inlet fixing holes: such as for 92mm standard fan* outlet fixin holes: such as 40mm standard fanIn this version I = made standard outlet fixing plate such as for 40mm fan= made totally new turbine geometry for 40x40mm output (true D=38)= deeped contact pad to make sure whole impeller is fit and nothing rotating crosses out turbine plane. There may be more versions when i'll get one printed.I suppose to print it of two parts placing each onto external side of total body to avoid negative corners of walls.Next step is to glew them together with superglue or acetone in case of ABS.Then you can place cooler inside using double-sided foam adhesive or other "soft" glue such as silicone.Feel free to share your thoughts in comment or ask a question. I'd like to discuss this idea and ways of it implementation.Thingiverse mirror: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2560726Like to support :)
