Odd combination of belts, rods, bearings, AB nuts, steel, phenolic resin, etc. RM2-2RS bearings on phenolic resin rails. 3/8in. ACME with dumpstercnc anti-backlash nuts on Y, belt, pulley, and idlers on X, and 0.5in. ACME and imserv anti-backlash nut on Z. Inductive sensors on each axis. NEMA 23 and 17 steppers. Off the shelf/hardware store/McMaster-Carr fasteners, bearings, etc. Purebond cabinet grade 3/4 and 1in. plywood case. Large (apx. 34x30x29in.) and heavy. Low quality GT2 belt and pulleys shown but XL components will be used during build. Should be low maintenance once constructed. Wood, resin, and steel will be cut on CNC router or plasma table. No 3D printed structural/mechanical components. Necessary cut allowances, corner reliefs, and threaded hole diameters will be added or adjusted in CAM (ie: NOT present in CAD files) depending on machine on which the operations are performed.The last build in a long series of 3D printers. For new construction "3D Printer 051" (3D Printer 051 - Large - 500x320x200mm Build Volume) would be a better choice as it is the best printer I've ever owned/used and hasn't required any maintenance, repairs, or adjustments (except for firmware updates) since the first print.
