UPDATE: --------------- Added lateral support to install inside Platsa cabinet. After a few weeks I decided to disconnect the filter because I was feeling more the smell of ABS with the filter then without it. But now I moved the printer to a Platsa cabinet, and I decided I wanted to use it again, but without extracting the air out of the enclosure. To use what I already manufactured, I created a simple bracket to fix it to the inner wall of the Platsa, taking advantage of the existing holes inside the cabinet. It uses 2 M4x16 countersunk screws. M4x12 will also do the job. This is my air filter for the printer enclosure. It consists of only 4 very simple parts, and with the objective of being as low profile as possible. Created in SOLIDWORKS 2019. The HEPA enclosure has some side holes to use small screws to hold the filter in place. But the enclosure is so snug fit, I ended up not using the side screws. It uses a regular 120x120mm 5V (USB) fan. But if you feel it doesn't have the necessary CFM, you can always use a 12V or 24V fan. But since according to [theory](https://www.allerair.com/pages/dwell-time-air-purification-is-so-important-but-why), the longer the air takes to go through the filter the better, a 5V USB fan may be the right choice because it has a low CFM, but good enough. When working, I can feel a light air stream coming from the filter, which is enough for me. I also choose a 5V because I have some mobile USB chargers laying around, and the 5V fan is really quiet. And it also helps that they are the cheapest ones around! Perhaps on a next iteration, I'll model an angled carbon filter enclosure, to increase dwell time. I placed the fan inside the enclosure, as you can see in the pictures, to have the least volume on the outside of the enclosure. But you can choose to place it on the outside, so its power cord is easily accessible. But then there will be an extra 25mm added to the carbon filter enclosure. Fan and HEPA filter were ordered in Aliexpress: [120x120x25mm USB fan](https://pt.aliexpress.com/item/120-x120-x25mm-Black-CPU-USB-Cooling-Fan-Silent-Computer-Desktop-Case-PC-CPU-DC-5V/32833555407.html?spm=a2g03.10010108.1000016.1.21863aecA6jPCq&isOrigTitle=true) [HEPA filter](https://pt.aliexpress.com/item/Vacuum-Cleaner-HEPA-Filter-Replacement-for-Philps-FC9083-FC9087-FC9088/32823568418.html?spm=a2g03.10010108.1000016.1.570e2605Fgz66J&isOrigTitle=true) Initially I bought this 12V fan, but since I don't have a 12V PSU yet, I decided to go with the USB fan, and I'm quite happy with it.
