3D Printer Filament Holder

3D Printer Filament Holder

A simple reel to hold your filament and keep it from getting tangled Instructions This was designed to be cut on a 9x14 inch hobby laser. It's a pretty straightforward assemble. You need to cut 4 of the reel parts, 2 of the long sides and 1 of the cross pieces. I assembled the base first, using frame clamps, then glued the top on. The washers are there to let you press the reel sides against your filament reel. The idea is to keep it tight so the filament can't slide into the crevice. The holder is 5 inches wide to accommodate different reel sizes, so you may need to press it together with a clamp on center spindle. In my case it's the pipe from the Solidoodle.
