3D printer Handle

3D printer Handle

thingiverse

I needed a handle for my 3D printer, Ender 3 Pro, and I found one here on Thingiverse to be very handy, but I wanted my handle to not need any screws or bolts to mount it... I wanted it to slide into the printer's frame, so I've made this remixed handle for myself. The space for the hand is 80mm*22mm which accommodates my big hand very well! The handle has 2 options: One with negative text, which doesn't need supports to print it (if you print it upside down); The other with positive text, intended to be printed in dual-color, for this one you need to print it in the upright position and with supports... for the color change you have to Pause at Layer 196, switch the filament and then continue with the printing process! Enjoy ;) Remixed from: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4645722 This piece is subject to the full weight of the printer plus the filament, so it should be printed in strong material such as ABS, or other... I printed mine with PLA and it's holding up well so far, but I compensated my print by setting 30% of infill. - CAUTION: Also, you shouldn't print this piece with the inserts faced straight up or down, because that would generate a weakness on the inserts, since the layers and the inserts would both be on the horizontal plane, making it easy for the inserts to break.
