3D Printer's Jack

3D Printer's Jack

This 3d Printer's Jack was inspired by the Machinist's Jack build by Inheritance Machining on YouTube. It features two separate thread pitches to allow for a rapid movement and a fine movement. This model was designed and printed with resin printing in mind and as such has very fine details that an FDM printer may not be able to achieve.

This 3d Printer's Jack was printed on an AnyCubic Mono 4k all at once. The models were attached to the build plate directly with no supports.

I used GAN Lube #2 (Speed Cube [Rubix] Lube) on the threads to give it a silky smooth operation. The final print was sanded with 220 grit then 320 grit and finally 600 grit sand paper to smooth the edges and give a better finish. The threads were not sanded, only lubed.
