I have an old MendalMax 1.5. Doing a mashup to get some more height, better x and y axis. Just the beginning as I have been designing, using others parts from here and will list ALL Remixes shortly. As you can see in the pics, My printed pieces are ok but I need better and I can't get higher resolution with my current setup. New x axis and y axis are a must! I am using V slot 2020 for the X axis and V slot 2060 for the Y axis which were purchased and new 500mm x 10mm smooth rods. Along with 500mm x 8mm Lead screws. I have a mock up I have been testing sizes and such before I make the switch over. Hate to have to reassemble old machine to make a part! All mount holes are using 5mm and 3mm screws Remixes The original MendalMax 1.5 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:20355 -- kludgineer https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1289402 -- jmc5113 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2562946 -- skartz https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2439194 -- thaug29 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:215971 -- tjb1 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2521151 -- michaeldeberry Using my V1 Toranado Extruder thats been sitting in a box https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1246951 -- Toranado3D Parts Descriptions Motor_2020_underbrace. This is to hold the v slot onto the lower crossbar 2020 tslot.Printed at 70% infill Y_motor_mountV2 - Tried a few different one but I needed strong support because some holders bent when adding tension. This one doesn't bend and printed at 100% infill 2020_90_V2 - These are the supports for 2020 tslot connections. There is a hole to connect into the end of a 2020 tslot. You will need to tap that hole 5mm or use a compatible screw to secure. 120_140_GantryV4 - Its made with added support. As I use the new style I will determine if I need to change it. under alot of tension it may bow a litte and then I may just make one out of aluminum plate
