3D SIMULATION OF ROLLING A DICE

3D SIMULATION OF ROLLING A DICE

grabcad

The simulation of the dice throwing process is performed in a separate file of the assembly model, to which fragments of the playing field and the dice are added. The dice are tied to a pre-constructed 3D node with a resolution of all degrees of freedom of this body (3D fragment). The playing field assumes a fixed position (the "Fix position" command is used). A motion analysis task is created, in the settings of which the analysis of contacts of all bodies with all is enabled. The calculation is started and as a result, there is a drop of the dice on the playing field with the final stationary state of the dice, indicating the upper face of the number of points scored by the player. To make the next roll of the dice, the 3D node from the assembly model must be brought to a new arbitrary position using the transformation command of at least two coordinates. After moving the 3D node, the body of the dice will also take a new position and a new calculation of the motion analysis problem can be started. The developed computer model can be used in combination with other, including board games.
