3DBotic Filament Guide for Filament Spool Holder

A revised version of the STL file for this filament guide is now available on Thingiverse, featuring a 2-layer thin rectangular piece at the taller end. This addition ensures the guide remains firmly attached to the hotbed during printing and can be trimmed off later. A cooling fan is recommended when printing in PLA. The guide is designed for use with Mendel Max printers that employ aluminum extrusions on their top horizontal frame, and it works alongside the 3DBotic simple filament spool holder found at Thingiverse. To install, print the part, attach it to the frame using an M5 x 10mm screw, T-Slot nut, and washer, position the spool holder so it slightly drags the spool's edges, thread the filament through the guide, top frame, and down to the extruder. The guide can accommodate various spool widths between approximately 65mm to 90mm; adjustment for different diameters is possible by sliding the guide up or down on the vertical frame section.
