I've seen a few really awesome designs for SpaceNavigator covers that didn't really suit my needs. For starters, I don't really need to move mine anywhere because home is where the desk is. As such I also wanted something that was really easy to remove. Something like a teapot cosy, but in plastic, because I can't knit.

My main goal was to keep me from inadvertently moving it or having a cord brush against it and wasting another two hours trying to figure out why my windows seem to scroll down on their own. I won't be fooled a third time I tell you!

This design came about simply enough. I found a 3D model of a SpaceNavigator, offset a curve from the profile, revolved it, added a cord notch, and grunted with satisfaction.

Print instructions

I printed mine in Prusament PETG Galaxy Black, but as I now hold a grudge against this particular filament, I wouldn't use it again.

You're almost certainly going to need supports to print this. The Print File I included is setup that way, along with a brim around the perimeter.

Getting the support out is a bit of a pain and even with a support offset of .25mm it still took a while to clean it all away and you do really need it all cleaned away or it wont fit.

I think there are better ways to approach this kind of support and I've seen it done by others, but I do not yet possess this skill. Perhaps you do?
