This is a handrest for the SpaceNavigator Desktop edition. Your SpaceNavigator won't move around anymore when using it! There are 2 parts to print, and a few things to stick on after printing (optional). *Edit April 30th 2017: You can now print the pad with soft material if you want to (I added the pad as a STL file). -The main part is the "SpaceNavigator Handrest.stl". This is the handrest, and there is a shallow pocket where the foam pad goes (see the 3d model pictures, 1 has the triangular shaped pocket, it is this one). This is the one I recommend printing. -Then there is the "SpaceNavigator Cap.stl". This goes under the handrest and snaps in place, preventing the SpaceNavigator from coming out. It is removable. -If you don't want the triangular pocket on the handrest, then use the file "SpaceNavigator Handrest-No Pocket.stl". -There is a PDF file, called "SpaceNavigator Pad Shape.pdf". Print this, and put it over top of the foam pad to cut the shape, then it will fit right in that triangle pocket. Print Settings Printer: Prusa i3 acrylic frame Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 20% Notes: No supports needed. For the foam sheet, I used this:http://canada.michaels.com/on/demandware.store/Sites-MichaelsCanada-Site/en_CA/Product-Show?pid=10337027&cgid= It's something like 2$ per sheet if I remember right... It is roughly 0.100" thick. You'll find this easily in any arts and craft store (adhesive foam sheet). To limit the slippery effect, I used some Pro-Tec self sticking 3/4" round bumper pads, like this below (you'll find this, or similar, is any hardware store):https://www.madicoinc.com/ca/en/category/floor-surface-protection/pro-tec-surface-protection/pro-tec-pvc-round-bumper-pads/1059526/sku-23123 If you print it, please upload a picture of it, it would be greatly appreciated!
