3DLS and AM8 Y Axis Rail Kit

This is a kit I made for my 3DLS after I belt a rod by leaning on the printer and ripping a part off the bed. It was making my Y axis all weird and people have told me to try rails, so I did! It's prints up easy and installs easy too. See the pictures for an idea how. You'll need M3x20 bolts and nuts x 8 and M4x10 bolts and nuts x 16 plus the M5x8 and T-nuts to mount them to the rails, 8 of those. Everything lines up as stock on the 3DLS. No other mods needed. The Endstop switch activates on the side of the bearing block with this kit. The spacers for the trolleys are to be installed offset towards the rear of the machine then the rails let overhang on the front to get full travel out of the kit. I put the slotted rail mounts in the front. It really doesn't matter, this is just for slight adjustments due to differences in the AM8 frames. I used these rails , 400mm and be sure to get enough trolleys. #Thank you!
