This is a Payload Release using a 9G servo. For the pull pin I use a short piece of plastic wire tie and curve it slightly. Fits with a small breakout board like this one from Brownie Boards https://store.brownieboards.com/product/3dr-solo-nano-breakout-board/ Wire path underneath can also conceal a female-male connection so if you solder in a connector and run it out to the mechanism it will snap into the slot underneath making it easy to remove and install if needed.
